Bruce Springsteen releasing 7 never-before-heard LPs in ‘The Lost Albums’ box set (hear “Rain in the River”)

Bruce Springsteen has announced the Tracks II: The Lost Albums box set which will be out June 17 via Sony Music. It features seven never-before-heard full length albums. “’The Lost Albums’ were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” says Bruce. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.” They’re available for pre-order now.

The seven albums span 1983-2018 and include LA Garage Sessions ’83, Streets of Philadelphia Sessions, Faithless, Somewhere North of Nashville, Inyo, Twilight Hours, and Perfect World, with 83 songs in total. “The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions,” Springsteen says of the variety found among these albums. The box set also comes with a cloth-bound 100-page book featuring rare photographs, liner notes on each lost album from writer Erik Flannigan, and an introduction by Bruce.

For those who’d like a more affordable version of this box, there’s also a 2-LP Lost And Found: Selections from the Lost Albums set that will also be out June 17.
