Brad Pitt Rumored For David Fincher’s Next

Oscar-winner Brad Pitt is reportedly set to re-team with acclaimed director David Fincher for the latter’s next film at Netflix according to World of Reel.

If accurate, it would mark the fourth teaming of the pair following 1995’s “Se7en,” 1999’s “Fight Club” and 2008’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.

The new report also indicates that the new film is rumored to be a sequel to a movie Fincher didn’t previously direct, but further details about its plot and characters are still under wraps.

Fincher was previously linked to a western film titled “Bitterroot,” but that project has been “permanently put on hold” for the Pitt project which is likely going to be Fincher’s next film.

It will fall under his multi-year deal with the streamer alongside his U.S. series adaptation of “Squid Game” and other projects. Fincher was also linked to a new take on Patricia Highsmith’s “Strangers on a Train” a while back but that appears to have also stalled.

Fincher’s most recently directed 2023’s “The Killer,” starring Michael Fassbender, for the service and has been working with them since “House of Cards” in 2013. He also steered the psychological crime thriller series “Mindhunter”.

Pitt will next be seen in Joseph Kosinski’s “F1” and is currently re-teaming with his “Fury” director David Ayer on the action adventure movie “Heart of the Beast”.
