Bloody VR Gladiatorial Combat SIM ‘GORN 2’ Enters the Arena April 17 for Steamvr, Meta Quest [Trailer]

Touting it as VR’s “most historically accurate gladiator sim,” Devolver Digital and developers Free Lives and Cortopia are set to unleash the sequel to their bloody 2019 hit gladiator sim GORN in GORN 2 on April 17 for Meta Quest and SteamVR, with a PS VR2 launch aiming for a summer release.

In GORN 2, players have ascended to a heavenly realm where the souls of all the gladiators you slaughtered in the first game now dwell. All for you to kill them again. New weapons (35 in all) are available to you in this sequel, along with new arenas, new traps, new enemies and new bosses.

Players will journey through a series of heavenly realms to battle the five sons’ champions: powerful bosses primed to unleash fresh challenges upon veterans and newcomers alike. You’ll engage in hilariously fierce over-the-top gladiatorial battles powered by “an outrageous fully physics-driven combat engine,” featuring plenty of decapitations, dismemberments, bisections and more.

Even after you’ve conquered all five heavenly arenas, there’s still plenty for you to sate your thirst for blood. You can stand your ground in the relentless non-stop onslaught of Endless Mode, or try creating your own battlefields of destruction in Custom Mode. Get creative and crush your opponents any way you choose, no matter how outlandish the concept.
