“Avengers: Doomsday” Seeks Agent Character?

Filming is slated to begin on Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday” late next month in the United Kingdom, and from the sounds of it things are lining up fast.

Scooper DanielRPK is reporting that casting is currently underway on the film for a “new male agent character that will have an important role in the film”.

With Phil Coulson and Maria Hill gone, and Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross either in prison or in the run depending on events after “Secret Invasion,” a new agent character will most likely be a TVA agent due to the film spanning the multiverse.

Sets are reportedly under construction for the movie right now with actors Sebastian Stan and Chris Hemsworth, along with co-director Joe Russo, all spotted in the UK in the past week ahead of filming.

Plot specifics for the film remain under wraps but the title is expected to be a Doctor Doom-focused storyline with Robert Downey Jr.’s take on the character likely to be the film’s central character with the various MCU characters in supporting roles.

There’s still yet to be a confirmed line-up of which actors will reprise their MCU roles for the new film or the following year’s “Avengers: Secret Wars” project which will shoot next Summer.
