2025 Oscar winners (full list here)

It’s Hollywood’s’ biggest night, the 97th Academy Awards. This is looking to be one of the most up-in-the-air years in years, with Anora, Conclave, A Complete Unknown, The Brutalist, Wicked, and Emilia Pérez all expected to pick up multiple awards — though oddsmakers have Anora with a slight edge over Conclave for taking Best Picture. There will be no performances of Best Original Song nominees this year, and it’s looking like Daniel Blumberg, who in the ’00s was a member of Cajun Dance Party and Yuck, will win Best Original Score for The Brutalist.

Unpredictability makes for a more exciting awards ceremony and the Oscars could certainly use a jolt of energy. (Yes that’s Nick Offerman as this year’s announcer.)That could also come from Conan O’Brien who will be hosting for the first time and has manic energy to spare. You can watch live on ABC or Hulu.

The ceremony opened with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo performing a medley of Wicked songs and you can watch that below.

Doja Cat, Blackpink’s Lisa and Raye performed as a tribute to James Bond.

Queen Latifah, Oprah and Whoopi Goldberg paid tribute to Quincy Jones (watch below).
