Sally Shapiro announce new album, share “The Other Days”

Swedish electropop vets Sally Shapiro will release Ready To Live A Lie, their first album in three years, via Italians Do It Better. “We live in the era of lies,” says the group’s Johan Agebjörn. “We deceive ourselves, our partners, and those around us. On social media, we paint pictures of perfect lives, only to be fed falsehoods in return—by algorithms, newsfeeds, and politicians.” He adds, “But perhaps, at times, we need these deceptions to get by. Maybe loneliness is somehow inescapable and we simply do our best to navigate life.”

The album includes their cover of Pet Shop Boys’ “Rent,” and they’ve just shared new single “The Other Days,” a driving Italo Disco number in the classic Sally Shapiro style. Watch the video below.
