The Sticky
Amazon Prime Video will not renew Canadian comedy “The Sticky” for a second season, the cancellation news coming more than two months after the Margo Martindale-led six-episode first season released in December to good reviews.
The series was inspired by a real-life heist that made global headlines in 2012, which saw more than $18 million worth of maple syrup stolen from Quebec’s national reserves. [Source: Deadline]
Neighbours
Long-running Australian soap opera “Neighbours” faces cancellation again with the show’s final episode scheduled to air in December. The announcement comes barely two years after Amazon rescued the series from cancellation.
Despite the Amazon version of the show scoring consistent Top 10 rankings in the U.K. and a 2024 Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Daytime Series, the streamer is ending it with the show said to be ‘resting from December 2025’. [Source: X]
Good American Family
Hulu has premiered the trailer for “Good American Family,” a drama told from multiple points of view and inspired by true events. Katie Robbins (“Sunny”) created the series while Ellen Pompeo, Mark Duplass, and Imogen Reid star.
The story follows a Midwestern couple who adopts a girl with a rare form of dwarfism. But as they begin to raise her, mystery emerges around her age and background, and they slowly start to suspect she may not be who she says she is. The series premieres March 19th.
The Righteous Gemstones
Another trailer is out for the fourth and final season of HBO’s comedy series “The Righteous Gemstones” which will return from March 9th on Max. The Danny McBride-created big religion satire series has a final run of six episodes.
Despite constant bickering, Gemstone family ties run deep, and this season the family’s codependence is tested as they attempt to move forward without letting go of their storied past.
