TAV Operation Services agrees deal to upgrade two Primeclass lounges at Sofia Airport
Under the agreement, the lounges in terminals 1 and 2 will be managed by TAV until 2038, with the project involving the redesign of existing Primeclass lounges to incorporate a new look and refreshed branding.

BULGARIA. TAV Operation Services (OS), a subsidiary of TAV Airports and a member of Groupe ADP, has agreed a contract with Vasil Levski Sofia Airport operator SOF Connect for the construction and management of two new business lounges.
Under the agreement, the lounges in terminals 1 and 2 will be managed by TAV OS until 2038.
TAV OS will invest in the renovation and redesign of Sofia Airport’s existing Primeclass lounges, which will make them the first to feature the brand’s new look following its rebranding. Both will open in early 2026.
In T2, the 130-capacity lounge will include a 540sq m covered area and 450sq m terrace with a designated smoking area, providing panoramic views of the airfield and runway. It will be accessible to passengers with reduced mobility.
The 125-capacity T1 lounge will occupy 440sq m.
TAV OS said, “The lounges will reflect a contemporary aesthetic through refined lines and thoughtfully curated details that evoke a sense of belonging, all while embracing sustainable design principles and responsible material choices.”
Each facility will feature a bar and restaurant offering a variety of cuisines, a relaxation area, co-working spaces and private silenced pods for focused work, a children’s area equipped with games, and high-speed wifi.
TAV Operation Services CEO and TAV Airports CCO Aude Ferrand commented, “We are proud to partner with Sofia Airport in this exciting new chapter. This collaboration marks not only our commitment to redefining the airport journey for the modern traveller, but also the debut of our newly reimagined Primeclass identity – an elevated experience rooted in contemporary design, immersive spaces and lifestyle-driven hospitality.”
SOF Connect CEO Jesús Caballero said, “We are happy to partner with an international leader like TAV Operation Services, which has extensive experience managing premium lounges around the world. This project is an important step towards the modernisation of Vasil Levski Sofia Airport and achieving 5-star rating.”
