“Star Trek: SNW,” “Percy Jackson” Tease Returns

Paramount+ has confirmed a July 17th launch date for the third season of its acclaimed “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” series.

The season will launch with the first two episodes on that date followed by weekly episodes through September 11th. All the cast regulars are back including Anson Mount, Rebecca Romjin, Ethan Peck and more.

In season three, when we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, they face the conclusion of season two’s encounter with the Gorn. But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test our character’s grit and resolve.

The new season has its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York next month. “Strange New Worlds” has already been renewed for a fourth season and has begun production on those new episodes in Toronto.

Meanwhile, Disney has teased a December launch month for the second season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”. The new season is an adaptation of the second of Rick Riordan’s books “The Sea of Monsters”.

The news comes as production is gearing up on the third season with cast members getting to work in July. That run will be based on the novel “The Titan’s Curse”.
