Apple TV+ has premiered the teaser trailer for “Your Friends & Neighbors,” its new dark comedy series which marks the return of Jon Hamm to his first regular TV series gig since “Mad Men” ended.
Hamm stars as Coop, a New York hedge fund manager who is recently divorced and becomes unemployed. He uses criminal methods – namely stealing from the homes of his neighbors in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village – to maintain his lifestyle and keep his family living to the standard to which they’ve become accustomed.
He soon discovers that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined.
Olivia Munn, Amanda Peet, Mark Tallman, Hoon Lee, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Isabel Gravitt, Donovan Colan, and Eunice Bae co-star in the series while Sandrine Holt and Corbin Bernsen have been cast in recurring roles.
The project hails from “Banshee” and “Warrior” creator Jonathan Tropper who most recently served as showrunner on Apple’s “See” series. Here he’ll pen the first three episodes and the season finale.
Filmmaker Craig Gillespie (“I Tonya,” “Cruella”) directs the first two episodes which premiere April 11th. Subsequent episodes will air weekly with the nine-episode run wrapping on May 30th.
The series has already been renewed for a second season.
