Sinners
Ryan Coogler’s critically acclaimed R-rated period vampire film “Sinners” – starring Michael B. Jordan as twins along with the likes of Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell and Delroy Lindo – pulled in an impressive $4.7 million in Thursday previews.
Boasting stunning reviews and word of mouth so far, expectations are high with the studio guessing a $35-40 million start, tracking suggesting a $40-45 million start, and rivals suggesting a $50+ million kick-off. It will battle with “Minecraft” for the top spot as that film is targeting a $40-45 million third weekend. [Source: THR]
Marvel Rivals
Marvel has announced the return of the ‘Marvel Swimsuit Special’ special edition comic on July 9th – the title going back into publication a full thirty years after it was discontinued. To tie-in with this, designs for new swimsuit skins for the video game “Marvel Rivals” will be revealed in the issue.
Released designs have been posted by the artists themselves and include Peter Parker in a Spidey speedo alongside Psylocke in a stylish purple/blue number (see here), Cyclops and Phoenix in yellow speedo and bikini respectively (see here), Tony Stark, She-Hulk & more (see here) and several ladies posting with surfboards (see here).

The Last of Us
A quick shot of a certain piece of sporting equipment became a trending topic on social media for almost a day following its cameo in a promo for the next episode or two of HBO’s “The Last of Us”. Those who know the significance are preparing themselves, whereas others are confused as to what’s going on.
