DC co-CEO James Gunn has confirmed that Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl in his “Superman” film will sport organic wings, not mechanical. In the comics, Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl’s wings are organic and made of the Nth metal. [Source: Threads]

Hong Kong director Johnnie To (“Election”) has reportedly been scouting locations around Hokkaido island in Japan for his next film, his first in six years, which is rumored to star Tony Leung Chiu-wai. Untitled DJ Art Bell Biopic
Amazon and Warner Bros. Pictures are among several studios vying for a biopic pitch about the late Las Vegas DJ Art Bell. His shows would have guests offering stories about alien encounters, past lives, time travel and other paranormal events.

“Scream VI” directors Radio Silence are attached to helm, actor Paul Giamatti to star, Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves to pen the script while Sophie Cassidy and Jeff Katz will produce. [Source: Deadline]

On Swift Horses
An April 25th theatrical release is set for the Jacob Elordi and Daisy Edgar-Jones drama “On Swift Horses” which Sony Pictures Classics will premiere as the closer for the SXSW film festival this year.

Daniel Minahan helms the film about a couple who begin a bright new life in California upon the husband’s return from the Korean War. Their lives are upended by the arrival of Lee’s charismatic and wayward gambler brother. Will Poulter, Sasha Calle and Diego Calva also star. [Source: Deadline]
