Marvel Hit By “Avengers” Concept Art Leak?

Marvel Studios has found itself the subject of some big concept art leaks earlier today.

The art was up for only a few hours from the original source before quickly being pulled down, but enough was there that it has quickly spread online and is presently across social media.

If true, it offers some potential early details about the soon-to-film “Avengers: Doomsday”. Of course, as it is just concept art and as Marvel is famed for changing up its films throughout production, it’s not clear how much of the art will be an accurate representation of what might be in the final film.

According to CBM, the leak came “from an artist who has worked on several MCU projects” but the art itself was marked “Concept and Development Work (2022 – Early 2024)” which is well before the current script which has only come together in recent months. So be advised, even if the source is true how accurate the art is to the final product remains highly questionable.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

Perhaps the biggest reveal from the art is Toussaint/T’Challa II as Black Panther with the face of “Snowfall” and “F1” actor Damson Idris in the sketch. Idris isn’t officially cast in the film, and even if he was it’s not clear if this is simply a stand-in pick by the artist, and if it is a multiversal variant of the character.

Other sketches show Star-Lord and White Vision having become roommates, She-Hulk and others in a rudimentary village, the Young Avengers hanging out in a bar, and the appearance of Marvel character Doop.

Doctor Doom is in two sketches and adopts a medieval aesthetic complete with throne room, villagers supplicant to him, and potentially brainwashed existing MCU characters or loyal variants of them in his court.

END SPOILERS

The concept art also revealed alternate and more cybernetic designs for the Serpent Society in “Captain America: Brave New World,” and suggests Sacha Baron Cohen isn’t playing Mephisto in “Ironheart” but a variation of a villain seen before.

Marvel has not officially released a statement regarding the leaks.
