Macaulay Culkin has revealed he only watched one thing at the Oscars – his brother Kieran Culkin winning Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain.

The Succession actor took home the Academy Award on Sunday (March 2), to add to the Golden Globe, BAFTA, and SAG Awards for the same performance. His sweary but endearing acceptance speech won over viewers on the night, and made his brother cry.
When asked by Variety if he watched the show, Macaulay Culkin replied: “Just the Best Supporting Actor, that’s the only thing I watched. True story, true story… I cried. And I was like, ‘I’m gonna see you later’”.
The Home Alone star and his wife were attending a post-Oscars party, but were not at the ceremony. Asked if he will see his brother during the evening, he said: “I don’t know, he’s busy, he’s a busy man. Academy Award winning actor Kieran Culkin, he’s busy”.
Interviewer Tan France then asked if they always thought Kieran would win, to which Song answered: “Of course. Let’s be real. We’re allowed to say that”. Macaulay Culkin added: “He was front row, aisle, closest to the stairs. There was no way he was not going to win”.
