A once highly-anticipated PS5 game has been quietly delayed out of its release window, and players are only just starting to notice. BioShock creator Ken Levine’s Judas was supposed to be out by now, but there’s been no word from developer Ghost Story Games or publisher Take-Two Interactive.
Judas was supposed to release on PS5 by March 2025, but was delayed without notice
Back in February 2023, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that Judas — which was conceptualized more than a decade ago in 2014 — will release by March 2025, at the latest. Zelnick seemed confident about this release window when quizzed about it by IGN at the time, and stated that while delays can happen, Take-Two’s schedule is expected to remain stable.
Yesterday, the publisher announced that GTA 6 will miss its release window of 2025 and will now launch in May 2026. However, there was no mention of Judas anywhere.
A year prior to Judas receiving a March 2025 release window, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier had reported that the game was in development hell, with sources blaming Levine’s leadership style for developer burnout.
Given Schreier’s report and the fact that we’ve barely seen or head anything about Judas, we can’t help but wonder if the game will ever see the light of day.
