Leaked Battlefield 6 Gameplay Positively Received by Fans

Massive chunks of Battlefield 6 gameplay have leaked online, thanks to EA’s new Battlefield Labs community testing program. Although participants are required to sign non-disclosure agreements, the internet was inevitably flooded over the weeked with footage from the upcoming title. The good news for EA and DICE is that early response to the gameplay has been largely positive.

We’re not going to embed any leaks here for obvious reasons, but much of the footage is still online, if you know where to look. EA did promise a return to glory for the franchise, and if the amount of destruction we’ve seen is any indication, this is Battlefield, alright!

Battlefield 6’s gameplay apparently borrows some of the stronger elements of its predecessors including Battlefield 4 and 5. The audio is also vastly improved, and explosions sound better than ever.

“The sound design is just INSANE for a pre-alpha,” one player wrote in reference to gameplay footage from inside an in-game tank. “All of this is so promising,” wrote another. “The art direction, sound design, cosmetics. These leaks are giving me….hope?”

A third opined that DICE is doing the right thing by bringing back beloved features from Battlefield 4, like camera point-of-view for squad mates with static effects.

As a long-time Battlefield fan, I’m personally pleased with what I’ve seen thus far but after the Battlefield 2042 misadventure, I remain cautiously optimistic.
