It comes as rumours began circulating online a couple of days ago, alleging that the singer was facing a $1million lawsuit from the business mogul and reality star after they worked together last year.
The speculation claimed that the tension stemmed back to a collaboration between the two in February 2024, when Lana Del Rey posed for a Valentine’s Day ad campaign for Kardashian’s shapewear brand SKIMS. It suggested that the ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer did not label her Instagram posts with the SKIMS campaign as paid promotions.
This, in turn, led to criticism from the non-profit National Advertising Division, according to reports from Stereogum.
However, Lana Del Rey has now taken to social media to deny speculation that she is being sued by The Kardashians’ star and dismiss any rumours as false.
“No no, this isn’t happening,” she commented on an Instagram post from Let’s Get Into It podcaster Sloan Hooks. “Not as far as either one of us knows. I don’t know where this started but if it does for some reason have to happen because of guidelines- then we will handle it. But never an end to a friendship.”
As well as that, a source who is reportedly in close contact with the situation shared a statement with TMZ, saying that talk of a lawsuit between the two is “categorically false”.
The two have been friends for years now, and were seen posing for photos together at the Met Gala last year – a move which got Taylor Swift fans talking. Back in 2024, Rey revealed that she also sang at the wedding celebrations of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian for free.
As for other Lana Del Rey news, the singer recently shared what seems to be the cover artwork for her upcoming single, ‘Henry, Come On’, which is taken from her new album ‘The Right Person Will Stay’.
It comes as she announced her upcoming 10th album last year, which marks the follow-up to her 2023 record ‘Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’.
Speaking to NME about the album last May, Del Rey suggested that the lyrics on the LP might be lighter than her more recent output. “I’ve maybe less to say in terms of any self-revealing things like on ‘Tunnel’ or ‘Blue Bannisters’ or ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’, and just more melodic,” she said. “Maybe more American Songbook style?”
Going into this summer, the artist is set to embark on a UK and Ireland stadium tour, with the dates all coming in support of the upcoming record. At the tail end of 2024, Del Rey became the highest-selling solo artist of 2025, the stadium trek selling out.
