It’s not always the case that an actor can also sing, so when something like “O’Dessa” comes around, you might find yourself wondering: is that really Sadie Sink singing?

Now streaming on Hulu, “O’Dessa” is an original rock opera set in a post-apocalyptic future. It centers on a farm girl named O’Dessa (Sink), as she embarks on a journey to recover a family heirloom. Eventually, her travels lead her to a new, dangerous city where she meets her true love. But in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test.

The power of destiny and song is always intertwined in something like this, is it not? And if you find yourself being wowed by Sink’s voice, we have got some good news for you.

Yes, that’s really Sink singing on the soundtrack. And yes, that’s also Kelvin Harrison Jr.’s real singing voice too, though you may have guessed that if you have seen “Mufasa” or “The High Note.”

It’s not exactly surprising that Sink can really sing like that, given her theater background. One of her earliest roles was starring as Annie on Broadway. And, over the course of “Stranger Things,” Sink has posted various videos of her singing, occasionally with co-star Millie Bobby Brown.

More recently, Sink sang back-up on “Stranger Things” co-star Maya Hawke’s EP “Clipped Wings.”

“O’Dessa” is now streaming on Hulu.
