Gears of War Collection Is PS5 Pro Enhanced, Doesn’t Have Multiplayer – Report

A new report claims that Gears of War Collection‘s PS5 listing has been uploaded to the PS Store‘s back end, revealing new tidbits of information. While the latest leak doesn’t quite confirm if the trilogy will launch day-and-date on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, it does suggest a launch later in 2025.

According to X user DetectiveSeeds, Gears of War Collection is targeting an early-mid August 2025 launch on the PS5. What’s more is that the title is PS5 Pro enhanced. Unfortunately, however, it looks like the trilogy will come without multiplayer.

Apparently, the PS Store listing for Gears of War shows that it’s a single-player game. Unless the listing has yet to be updated, there’s no mention of support for additional players. DetectiveSeeds further claims that he sought clarification on co-op support, but hasn’t heard back from their source yet.

Previous rumors have claimed that Gears of War Collection — which includes the first three games in the series — will be revealed soon at the upcoming Xbox Showcase, and will launch simultaneously on all platforms.

Since this specific leak is allegedly coming from the game’s PS Store listing, it doesn’t corroborate rumors of a day-and-date launch.
