Metal Gear Solid Delta Ape Escape won’t be on Xbox but it’s not all bad news
Fans noticed that following yesterday’s MGS Delta release date announcement, Konami published two versions of the release date trailer: one for PS5 and PC, and one for Xbox platforms. PS5 and PC versions include the Ape Escape mode whereas the Xbox trailer teased “a different special game.”
Looking at the trailer, this “different special game” appears to be Konami’s own Bomberman.
So, the Snake vs. Monkey mode is basically Snake vs. Bomberman on Xbox, but Konami has yet to formally unveil the Xbox version.
Now, PC players want both modes.
MGS Delta: Snake Eater will release on August 28, 2025, and will be PS5 Pro enhanced. Those who preorder the standard edition will receive a white tuxedo uniform as a bonus. However, Konami has said that the content can be unlocked through in-game progress as well.
A digital deluxe edition is also available for $79.99.
