Extended TV Spot: Disney’s “Snow White”

A new 60-second TV spot has arrived for Disney’s live-action adaptation of its 1937 animated classic “Snow White”.

The film stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen and Andrew Burnap as Jonathan along with seven ‘fantastical being’ companions who are CG mo-cap creations made to resemble the dwarfs of the original story.

The original “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is considered Disney’s first major successful animated feature and kicked off the studio’s line-up of fairytale animated features.

This remake has been plagued by controversies, but as marketing has been unveiled and the film is looking more loyal to the original than expected, sentiment appears to have become less hostile.

Marc Webb directs from a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. “La La Land” and “The Greatest Showman” pair Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are attached to write new songs.

The film is headed for a three-day start of $63-70 million for its domestic opening weekend – about on par with “Maleficent” a decade ago.
