At Star Wars Celebration Japan, Electronic Arts Inc. thrilled fans with the official reveal of Star Wars Zero Company, a brand-new single-player, turn-based tactics game developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games.
Set in the grim twilight of the Clone Wars, Zero Company places players in command of a ragtag squad of elite operatives led by Hawks, a former Republic officer turned commander-for-hire. As the galaxy teeters on the edge of collapse, players must lead their customizable team through intense missions, undercover investigations, and a story-driven campaign that promises high stakes and galaxy-shaping consequences.
“Our vision for Star Wars Zero Company is grounded in gameplay design pillars that weave in the immersive Star Wars galaxy with engaging turn-based tactics gameplay,” said Greg Foertsch, CEO and Creative Director at Bit Reactor. “We’re delivering an original Star Wars story where your choices matter, with deep tactical combat that’s as cinematic as it is strategic.”
Bit Reactor, known for its pedigree in the strategy genre, is crafting a game that blends accessible yet deep turn-based combat with an expansive narrative experience. Players will develop their own base of operations, gather intelligence through informants, and build out a squad from a variety of customizable operatives — including fan-favorite archetypes like Clone Troopers, Jedi, and astromech droids.
Douglas Reilly, GM & VP at Lucasfilm Games, expressed excitement for the long-awaited project: “At Lucasfilm Games, we’re huge tactics fans and we have wanted to make a game like this for a long time. The best tactics games are all about meaningful choices, and we’re confident we have chosen the right squad in Bit Reactor to deliver a compelling and innovative title that is authentic to Star Wars.”

Customization lies at the heart of the experience. Players can tailor Hawks’ appearance and combat class, as well as personalize squadmates’ looks, gear, and abilities. Unique combat synergies can be unlocked as relationships grow between squad members, offering a strategic edge in the game’s most challenging battles.
Described as a gritty, character-driven experience with nearly endless tactical possibilities, Star Wars Zero Company aims to immerse players in a part of the Star Wars galaxy that has rarely been explored so deeply.
Star Wars Zero Company is set for release in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
