Anika announces North American tour, shares “Oxygen” from new LP

Anika has announced a fall tour in support of her new album Abyss. Dates are with Lauren Early (West Coast) and Avishag Cohen (Midwest, East Coast) and kick off September 18 in San Diego and wrap October 12 in Austin. All dates are listed below.

The NYC stop is at Le Poisson Rouge on October 2 and tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, April 4 at 10 AM local time.

Abyss is out this Friday and just Anika has shared one final preview before the whole thing drops. She says “Oxygen” is “about feeling trapped in your own body, in your own narrative, in your own society, within the norms and expected behaviours of this claustrophobic socially constructed world. It wants to break out of this cage, it wants to breathe, it wants to be in tune with its true self, its true feelings, sensations and desires – without restriction.” Listen below.
