Angel Studios has unveiled the first look teaer trailer for Sketch, a magical comedy from filmmaker Seth Worley making his feature directorial debut. A young girl's monster drawings begin to come alive, unleashing chaos upon her small town. This first premiered at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival last year and earned some rave reviews, which is why Angel bought it to release in the US this year - arriving in theaters in August. Looks great! A single dad is swept up in an insane adventure when his daughter’s comically dark drawings come to life and terrorize their small town. The indie film stars Tony Hale, D'Arcy Carden, Kue Lawrence, Kalon Cox, Jaxen Kenner, Genesis Rose Brown, and introducing Bianca Belle as Amber. I quite like that this trailer doesn't give away much of anything - barely a first look. There's a few hints and a few glimpses of the glittery monsters she manifests, but the rest is still being kept hidden until it hits theaters later in the year.
