Air France – KLM Flying Blue has changed the elite benefits matrix yesterday that deals with Comfort+ seating on Delta and choosing seats on Air France & KLM flights.

Flying Blue Silver & Gold members have lost their Comfort+ discount, and Platinum and Ultimate members are no longer eligible for complimentary access.

You can access the Flying Blue elite benefits matrix here.

Partner Airlines Benefits – PREVIOUSLY:

Partner Airlines Benefits – NOW:

The Delta Comfort+ Section has completely disappeared.

Air France – KLM Standard Seat Selection – PREVIOUSLY:

Air France – KLM Standard Seat Selection – NOW:

Flying Blue base members are no longer eligible for complimentary seat choices on Economy Light Fares.

Conclusion

The loss of discounted or complimentary Comfort+ access on Delta for Flying Blue elite members is a benefit downgrade.

I would assume that Air France and KLM assign middle seats on the back of the plane for non-status Flying Blue members who fly on Economy Light fares.
