Ty Segall shares awesome title track from new album ‘Possession,’ touring w/ Primus & more

Ty Segall has been one of the most prolific artists around since releasing his debut in 2008, and keeping up with his discography and many projects can be tough. His upcoming album, Possession (preorder), is a great point to check back in as it’s one of his most tuneful and richly produced of his career. It’s got horns and strings — arranged by old pal bandmate Mikal Cronin — in addition to the riffage he’s known for and feels like a purposeful step up. He’s just shared Possession’s title track that’s thick with twin lead guitar hooks, harmonies and just the right ammount of that orchestration.

You can catch Ty on a West Coast solo tour with Mikal Cronin this week, and he and his band will open for Primus this summer, hitting The Rooftop at Pier 17 on July 21. All dates are listed below.
