Metallica kick off 2025 tour in Syracuse (setlist & videos)

Metallica began the latest leg of their M72 World Tour at Syracuse, NY’s JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday (4/19) with support from Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies (the latter of whom released their first song in 6 years the day before the show). This was one of the cities on the tour that gets just one show, as opposed to the ‘No Repeat Weekends,’ and ‘Tallica delivered a slew of classics (“Creeping Death,” “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” “Hit the Lights,” “Fuel,” “Orion,” “Nothing Else Matters,” “Sad But True,” “One,” “Seek & Destroy,” “Master of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman,” and more), in addition to a couple tracks from 2023’s 72 Seasons, a Death Magnetic song (“The Day That Never Comes”), and more. Metallica also reportedly broke the venue’s attendance record by drawing over 47,500. The former Carrier Dome’s previous record was held by The Who, who drew 47,319 people in 1982. The tour continues with a No Repeat Weekend at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on Thursday (4/26) and Saturday (4/26), with Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies on night one and Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills on night two. Metallica also play Black Sabbath‘s massive “final” show in Birmingham on July 5. All remaining dates are listed below.
