INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to announce the promotion of Ameesha Raizada to Managing Editor, effective immediately.
Ameesha, who joined the company in June 2023, was formerly Senior Reporter.
She reports to The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt for the balance of her responsibilities and to both Dermot and Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie on our market-leading website.
Her role will include planning, commissioning and editing The Moodie Davitt Magazine and eZine titles; and driving the company’s unrelenting commitment to excellence, innovation and market leadership.
Ameesha becomes the sixth woman head of department (out of nine in total) at The Moodie Report, joining an outstanding line-up of talent in our 23rd year.
Ameesha was born in Haridwar, India, later moving to Kangra in the Himachal Pradesh state to study for a Bachelor of Arts in communication.
Later she gained a Masters in Journalism at the University of the Arts London before beginning her working career in Gurugram, India as Features Writer & Social Media Executive for Burda Media India. Ameesha then moved to the UK where she joined The Moodie Davitt Report.
The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie said, “We have been hugely impressed by everything Ameesha does in terms of professionalism, teamwork and work ethic as well as her personal integrity. She is an outstanding ambassador for us and a very fine journalist.
“Along with her fellow journalistic superstars, Hannah Tan, Mark Lane and Manila-based Camille Bersola (with a little help along the way from the Irish-Kiwi combo of Dermot and myself), we have created the best editorial team I have worked with in 38 years of B2B publishing. We have such an exciting innovation pipeline planned and Ameesha is going to be critical in delivering it.”
Ameesha Raizada said: “I am proud to take on this new role for the travel retail market leader and what I believe to be among the world’s finest B2B publications. I am particularly privileged to join an extraordinary line-up of women heads of departments who form an integral part of our team of consummate professionals. We have really ambitious plans ahead and I am thrilled to be part of that journey.
“Something else I value is the company’s commitment to social causes, from actively participating in the recent International Women’s Day Inspire Inclusion initiative to the work we have done with the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Smile Train and many others such as Hand in Hand for Haiti down the years. We plan to step up such commitments in the future and I look forward to playing my role.”
