“Speed” Stars Reunite For Romantic Thriller

“Speed” and “The Lake House” stars Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are reuniting to star together in a new untitled romantic thriller feature film at Amazon MGM Studios.

“Jackie” writer Noah Oppenheim is penning the script. Story details are being kept under wraps, but the project is said to be “propulsive”.

Mark Gordon, who produced “Speed,” is also onboard. He and Oppenheim brought the idea to Reeves and Bullock, with the group going on to develop the film with them.

Bullock, Reeves, Oppenheim, Gordon, Sarah Bremner and Bibby Dunn will all produce. Reeves is coming off voicing Shadow in last year’s “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” and Bullock off 2022’s adventure film “The Lost City”.

“Speed” remains one of the most defining films of the 1990s, and the chemistry between Reeves and Bullock was a key part to its success. The pair reunited at a screening of the film not that long ago, which tied to a behind-the-scenes podcast about the film’s making titled 50 MPH.
