Seth Rogen recalls feeling “a lot of pressure” sitting front row at Adele’s televised concert

Seth Rogen revealed he didn’t know much about an Adele concert he attended in 2021, describing being sat at the front while high as “a lot of pressure”.

Appearing on The Howard Stern Show, the comedy actor looked back on the time he attending Adele’s One Night Only concert in Los Angeles with his wife, actor Lauren Miller. He said he had “shockingly little information” about the show beforehand, and said the couple got “incredibly high” in their car on the way to the event.

It was only when they arrived that they realised that it was a televised concert, and that they were in the front row. “We get there, they give us our tickets and our seat numbers are A1 and A2. I was like, ‘Oh no! That seems close, that seems very close,’” he said. “We slowly are walking and we find our seats and we could not be more front and centre in this show, and they’re filming the whole thing”.

He continued: “It’s like a huge primetime special, which I did not know at all. There’s literally a camera crew and a rig like six inches in front of us. I’m just like, ‘What the fuck is going on right now?’ I’ve never met Adele, I’ve never seen Adele in real life before. I was like, ‘How did this happen?’”

He then said the knowledge that he would be on camera led him to concentrate very hard on holding himself together. “The whole time I’m just like, ‘Well, I gotta act like I look like an engaged concertgoer throughout this experience,'” he joked. “I think I kept it together, but it was a lot of pressure”.

A vocal advocate of cannabis, Seth Rogen founded Houseplant in 2019, a company that makes its own strains of the drug as well as paraphernalia for smoking in countries where it legalised.
