‘Scream’ Meets ‘Sleepwalkers’ in Shot-on-Video Slasher ‘Screamwalkers’ [Trailer]

You’re gonna need more than nine lives for Screamwalkers.

Scream meets Sleepwalkers in the ’90s-inspired shot-on-video slasher, which hits DVD on April 29 via Alpha Video.

In the quiet town of Marblehead, a chilling pattern emerges as the body count rises. At the heart of these bizarre killings stands CJ Wyatt, a student grappling with the recent loss of a her boyfriend, the latest victim of a ruthless murderer. Each death among her circle of friends draws the killer ominously closer to CJ.

Detective Joe Penny becomes her sole ally in a police force plagued by corruption. Amidst mounting pressure, he races against time to piece together clues that might lead to the killer’s identity. With each passing day, the list of victim grows, pushing CJ and Penny to confront the terrifying reality of the Screamwalkers!

Writer-director Sean King (The Ghouligans) shot the movie on a Canon camcorder from 1994 to achieve a genuine analog aesthetic.

The Copycat Killer mask donned by the antagonist has been licensed by Fun World, creator of Scream‘s iconic Ghost Face mask, for release this Halloween season.

Screamwalkers is also available on limited edition VHS from Retro Release Video.
