ITA Airways Volare Executive Welcome Email (From Status Match)

ITA Airways, the resurrected Alitalia, which is being completely taken over by the Lufthansa Group, launched a status match campaign the other day (read more here) before Volare is integrated into Miles&More next year.

I decided to test this latest match (read more here), and it was processed almost instantly. Now, ITA’s Volare has sent out a confirmation as well.

ITA doesn’t require an address when you sign up for Volare. If you want to receive their rather nice welcome kit, you should add your physical address to your Volare account.

Conclusion

There is no downside to participating in this match, as the Volare program will eventually disappear when it is folded into Miles&More.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there are further status match opportunities when Volare ceases to exist by airlines that wish to cater to the Italian market.
