A new full trailer is out for the standalone expansion to developer Teyon’s 2023 first person shooter title “RoboCop: Rogue City”.
Titled “RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business,” the new game will hit PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on July 17th and sounds essentially like “Dredd” or “The Raid,” but with Robocop as the enforcer sent to clear out this building full of criminals.
The first game featured an original storyline based on the Paul Verhoeven-directed 1987 film. In Old Detroit, you play as RoboCop as the machine must clear the city of criminals, conduct investigations, and issue both criminal and traffic citations.
Set within the franchise canon, events take place after “Robocop 2” but before the third with Anne Lewis as RoboCop’s partner who accompanies the player. Peter Weller reprises his voice role for the game which landed good reviews and was hailed for its authenticity.
The sequel will be is set in OmniTower, a large housing complex created by OCP to provide for the needs of the residents of Old Detroit.
When a group of highly trained mercenaries armed with cutting-edge weapons takes control of the building and turns it into their deadly fortress, RoboCop must take action and put a stop to their plans to undermine law and order.
Players will deal with hi-tech threats in OmniTower, including anti-personnel turrets, flying drones, deadly traps and heavily armed elite troops. The bad guys have miniguns, jetpacks and even control katana-wielding robots.
