Official Trailer for 'Tendaberry' Indie Drama Set in Coney Island, NYC

Mubi has posted their official trailer for an indie film titled Tendaberry, set in Brooklyn made by an American filmmaker named Haley Elizabeth Anderson as her feature directorial debut. This originally premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival last year, and can now be watched via streaming on Mubi's platform. Tendaberry offers an unflinching look at resilience and identity in modern America. In Coney Island, an adrift young woman must navigate an uncertain path alone after her boyfriend Yuri must leave to go home to his family in war-torn Ukraine. "Charting the four seasons of a magnetic young woman unsettled by change, Tendaberry composes an urban symphony in the key of love." The film was significantly inspired by the music on the "Wildflower" album by The Avalanches. This stars Kota Johan as 23-year-old Dakota, along with Yuri Pleskun, Mike Donovan, and Janice Dias. This earned mostly good reviews though it's a very experimental film - it's definitely not for everyone.
