Marvel Studios and Marvel Comics just announced that The Fantastic Four: First Steps is getting a tie-in comic, and it’s actually an in-universe story, created as if it were a real piece of the MCU world itself. It also gives us our first look at the team taking on Mole Man’s giant monster!Deadline dropped the news that Fantastic Four: First Steps will be hitting comic shops on July 2nd. It's a collaboration between Marvel Studios and Marvel Comics, marking the first time they’ve teamed up like this to produce a comic that feels like it’s part of the actual movie universe. The comic is being created by Matt Fraction (Hawkeye), who is writing it, and Mark Buckingham (Fables), who is handling the art. Even the "publisher" is a fun Easter egg as it's being released by the Future Foundation inside the MCU’s version of Marvel Comics. Production Designer Kasra Farahani from the movie’s creative team helped steer the project, and Fraction actually visited the movie set to really nail the vibe. While the full plot is still under wraps, the cover art by Phil Noto gives us a major clue. Cebulski explained the heart behind the project, saying:"As Marvel’s First Family, the Fantastic Four and their stories have always been at the very center of the Marvel Universe. “With The Fantastic Four: First Steps coming later this summer, we at Marvel all felt this was the perfect opportunity to bring our teams together in honor of their legacy in both the world of the film and within our comics."He also talked about how the collaboration between the studios and the publishing side made this comic really special:"It’s been a blast to have our teams in Publishing and Studios bounce ideas back and forth to create something truly special and one-of-a-kind, and we can’t wait for fans to be able to dive in to this comic—squarely in the world of the MCU—and experience the Fantastic Four like we’ve never seen before this summer."Cebulski added one more thought that really nails why this comic feels like such a big deal:"The heart of Marvel has always stemmed from the comics, and Kevin and the team have been bringing those pages to life in extraordinary ways with each and every film. With this comic, we’re bringing those two worlds together in a way we think fans will love."So whether you're a die-hard Marvel Comics fan or just hyped for Marvel’s take on the Fantastic Four, First Steps sounds like it's going to be a must-grab when it hits shelves.

Deadline dropped the news that Fantastic Four: First Steps will be hitting comic shops on July 2nd.

It shows the Fantastic Four battling one of Mole Man’s classic monsters, recreating the iconic look of Fantastic Four #1. It’s clear the comic is celebrating the team’s first big adventure.

Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski explained the heart behind the project, saying:

"As Marvel’s First Family, the Fantastic Four and their stories have always been at the very center of the Marvel Universe.

“With The Fantastic Four: First Steps coming later this summer, we at Marvel all felt this was the perfect opportunity to bring our teams together in honor of their legacy in both the world of the film and within our comics."

He also talked about how the collaboration between the studios and the publishing side made this comic really special:

"It’s been a blast to have our teams in Publishing and Studios bounce ideas back and forth to create something truly special and one-of-a-kind, and we can’t wait for fans to be able to dive in to this comic—squarely in the world of the MCU—and experience the Fantastic Four like we’ve never seen before this summer."

Cebulski added one more thought that really nails why this comic feels like such a big deal:

"The heart of Marvel has always stemmed from the comics, and Kevin and the team have been bringing those pages to life in extraordinary ways with each and every film. With this comic, we’re bringing those two worlds together in a way we think fans will love."

So whether you're a die-hard Marvel Comics fan or just hyped for Marvel’s take on the Fantastic Four, First Steps sounds like it's going to be a must-grab when it hits shelves.
