PS Plus Classic Gets Trophies in Surprise May 2025 Update

The list of PS Plus Premium classics with trophies has grown yet again with a new patch for a beloved PSP classic. Disney Pixar’s Up has just received a surprise update with separate trophy lists for both the PS5 and PS4 versions.

PS Plus classics continue to receive trophies retroactively

Up now comes with 21 trophies including the Platinum trophy. Both PS5 and PS4 trophy lists are the same, but cannot be stacked. However, unlocking the two Platinum trophies shouldn’t be hard as the list looks fairly easy.

There’s a good mix of story-related trophies, specific task-based rewards, and some collectibles.

Those who aren’t subscribed to PS Plus Premium now have a good reason to pick up the fun classic, which costs just $5.99 on the PS Store. The PS5 and PS4 versions come with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.

“Up The Video Game takes players on an exotic adventure with Carl Fredricksen and his young sidekick, Wilderness Explorer Russell, as they set off on a wild journey through the undiscovered jungles of South America,” reads an official overview.

While Sony has done a fantastic job of working with third-party publishers to bring trophies to classics, the feature remains elusive when it comes to Bandai Namco Entertainment and Capcom games. Trophy patches for both publishers’ games are often requested by players but it doesn’t look like we’ll get lucky anytime soon.
