Ozzy Osbourne only playing “bits and pieces” with Black Sabbath at final show, adds Guns N’ Roses, Tool & more
Ozzy clarified that he won’t be playing a full set with Sabbath, and he added more bands and musicians to the massive lineup of their final show.

Ozzy Osbourne has shared some updates about Black Sabbath‘s sold-out final show, which goes down in the band’s birthplace of Birmingham on July 5 at Villa Park. As Blabbermouth points out, Ozzy–who hasn’t played a full show since 2018 and whose recent planned performances have been affected by health issues–took to his SiriusXM show “Ozzy Speaks” to say that he won’t be playing an entire set with Sabbath. “I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them,” he said. “I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”
“I am trying to get back on my feet,” he continued. “When you get up in the morning, you just jump out of bed. I have to balance myself, but I’m not dead. I’m still actively doing things.”
The Sabbath performance will mark the band’s first with Bill Ward back on drums in 20 years. Ozzy also has his own solo appearance billed.
Ozzy also revealed on X that Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and Rival Sons were all added to the show, which also includes previously-announced sets from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax, and Mastodon.
There’s also a Tom Morello-directed all-star tribute that’s expected to pay tribute to Ozzy, Sabbath, and more, and five new musicians were just added to that list too: Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Living Colour’s Vernon Reid, ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, Ugly Kid Joe’s Whitfield Crane, and Andrew Watt (who produced Ozzy’s last two solo albums). Previously-announced names include Slash and Duff McKagan of GNR, The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Korn’s Johnathan Davis, founding Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing, Tom Morello himself, and more. Actor Jason Momoa was added as a host as well.
