New “Final Destination” Is The Longest

For a franchise famous for its brevity, the upcoming “Final Destination: Bloodlines” looks set to be the longest entry to date – and by a clear margin.

The Irish Film Classification Office has confirmed that the film will clock in at 109 mins 40 secs, easily beating the previous record holder of 98 minutes for the very first film back in 2000. The fourth film holds the record for the shortest at just 82 minutes.

Additionally the MPA has rated the film ‘R’ for “strong violent/grisly accidents, and language”. A new poster with the new rating is online at X.

The sixth overall film in the dark comedy supernatural thriller series follows college student Stefanie who is plagued by a violent recurring nightmare.

She heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, with Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd.

Adam Stein & Zach Lipovsky direct from a screenplay by Guy Busick & Lori Evans Taylor. Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle and Toby Emmerich produce.

“Final Destination Bloodlines” will be distributed in cinemas and IMAX worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures on May 16th domestically and from May 14th internationally.
