Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Heavenly Ever Afteran upcoming K-drama series starring Son Seok-koo. Here’s everything you need to know about the new series.

What is the plot of Heavenly Ever After?

Heavenly Ever After starts when 80-year-old Lee Hae-sook passes on. Over the course of her life on Earth, Hae-sook was forced to become the head of her household and support her family on her own after her husband, Ko Nak-joon, was involved in an accident.

When her spirit enters the Heaven Admission Counselling Office, she makes the decision to continue living on in Heaven as her 80-year-old self, after her husband told her, “You were pretty in your twenties and you were also pretty in your forties, but you are the prettiest now.”

When she enters Heaven, she reunites with her husband, who appears as his 30-year-old self. He is surprised by his wife’s elderly appearance, and the couple later learn that Hae-sook is the only person in Heaven who chose not to return to her youthful appearance.

The couple’s journey begins when Ko Nak-joon, who works as a postman in Heaven delivering letters of wishes from Earth, reunites with his wife to restart their lives together in the otherworldly realm.

Veteran actress Kim Hye-ja, known for her roles in The Light In Your Eyes and Mother, will lead the series as Lee Hae-sook. Meanwhile, D.P star Son Seok-koo stars across her as her husband Ko Nak-joon.
