HONG KONG, CHINA. Moët Hennessy Travel Retail lauded the success of its exclusive Chinese New Year celebrations, highlighted by Maurice Hennessy’s first official visit to Hong Kong travel retail.

The festivities showcased Hennessy’s rich heritage and innovative spirit across two days, with the eighth-generation Hennessy family member’s presence lending a personal and historic significance.

The celebrations featured an exclusive dinner at Tin Lung Heen in the Ritz-Carlton, graced by Maurice Hennessy, along with company representatives, CDF-Lagardère partners and VIP guests.

The event featured a guided tasting of Hennessy’s finest Cognacs – James Hennessy, Hennessy X.O, Hennessy X.X.O, Hennessy Paradis and Richard Hennessy, paired with a curated menu.

Maurice Hennessy also delivered a presentation on the Maison’s heritage, and its approach to merging tradition with innovation.

Another key highlight of the event was Maurice Hennessy signing pre-ordered bottles of Hennessy Paradis and Richard Hennessy. Orders placed that night also qualified for his signature, transforming each bottle into a rare collector’s item.

The Chinese New Year festivities continued at Hong Kong International Airport with an activation on 12 January, attended by Maurice Hennessy, Moët Hennessy representatives, CDF-Lagardère partners and two KOLs.

The celebration showcased a Chinese New Year limited-edition range by Chinese fashion designer Shuting Qiu, complemented by a traditional lion dance, symbolising prosperity for the Year of the Snake.

Pierre-Henry Faye, Moët Hennessy Business Development Director for Travel Retail in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Hainan, delivered the opening remarks.

Maurice Hennessy also signed exclusive Chinese New Year editions and rare Hennessy bottles at the House of Hennessy.
