A PS Plus Extra game that went mysteriously missing from the catalog has returned with its newly-released PS5 port. Annapurna Interactive shadow dropped the PS5 version of indie darling Sayonara Wild Hearts towards the end of February, following which players discovered that the game was removed from the catalog.
PS Plus game Sayonara Wild Hearts went missing for a week
As we said at the time, Sayonara Wild Hearts’ removal was probably a PS Store glitch as Sony updated the game’s SKU. However, there was some uncertainty surrounding its removal because — unlike Annapurna’s press release — Sony’s announcement on PS Blog omitted any mention of Sayonara Wild Hearts being a part of PS Plus.
Well, it looks like the theory about PS Store glitching out was correct. We can confirm that at the time of this writing, Sayonara Wild Hearts can be claimed from the catalog.
While it’s not uncommon for games to go missing from catalogs as Sony updates SKUs, a week-long disappearance is unusual. We’re assuming that the lengthy disappearance has something to do with Sayonara Wild Hearts’ PS5 version being added to the list of games available to cloud stream.
As a reminder, the new PS5 port has its own separate trophy list.
