Kylie Kelce launched her podcast Not Gonna Lie in December 2024, and since then, she’s chatted with athletes, advocates, and all kinds of impressive guests. But it was one very iconic voice — former First Lady Michelle Obama — that had the 33-year-old podcaster sweating.
During the Thursday, April 10 episode, Kylie — who welcomed baby No. 4, daughter Finnley, with husband Jason Kelce last month — responded to a listener named Trystan who asked, “KYLIE, you got MICHELLE?! How did you keep your cool?! My jaw would be an anvil on the floor.”

Without skipping a beat, the media personality said, “First of all, Trystan, the editing team behind Not Gonna Lie did me a solid. I had to wipe my upper lip sweat multiple times. Multiple times. Okay?”
The mom of four went on to say she was just as stunned as her listeners.
“A lot of fans were shocked that we got Michelle Obama. Girl, same,” Kylie said. “Guys, I still can’t wrap my head around it.” She added, “I fear that you guys think I’m kidding when I emphasize that I have no business speaking to the people that I get to speak to. Sometimes I genuinely think I’m living in an alternate universe of like, ‘Is this happening?’”
The episode with the 61-year-old New York Times best-selling author originally dropped on Thursday, March 20. The two spoke about everything from parenting to partnerships — bonding over motherhood and life in the public eye. (In addition to little Finn, Kylie and Jason, 37, are also parents to Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2. Meanwhile, Michelle shares two daughters — Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23 — with former President Barack Obama.)
“I was very nervous to speak to Mrs. Obama,” the retired field hockey coach admitted. “I am so incredibly grateful that she was able to come on. I absolutely loved how excited people were in the comments on things because it validated how hype I was about getting that opportunity.”
Wrapping up her thoughts, Kylie doubled down on just how flustered she was.
“So I just want to be clear — I was not cool,” the Philly native said. “I had full pit sweat like I usually do when I interview people because, like, what the f*** are we even doing? But for Michelle, it hit a new level, because for Mrs. Obama I was rocking upper lip sweat.”
