Lucy Dacus reaches No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts for the first time as a soloist, debuting atop the April 12-dated surveys with Forever Is a Feeling.

Dacus’ fourth solo LP bows with 30,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending April 3, according to Luminate. Of the sum, 24,000 are via album sales, including 18,000 vinyl copies, leading to a No. 2 debut on the Vinyl Albums chart.

Dacus’ previous best as a solo act on Top Rock Albums was with Home Video, which debuted and peaked at No. 16 in July 2021. She previously topped the chart for a week in April 2023 as one third of Boygenius, alongside Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers, with The Record.

On Americana/Folk Albums, Dacus hit a prior No. 3 solo high with Home Video; Boygenius’ The Record likewise led the list.

The new set also starts at No. 2 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts, both solo bests for Dacus and tying the peak of The Record on both rankings. On the all-format Billboard 200, it debuts at No. 16.

Concurrently, “Bullseye,” Dacus’ Forever Is a Feeling collaboration with Hozier, debuts at No. 35 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs with 1.7 million official U.S. streams. The album’s lead single, “Ankles,” also made a one-week appearance on the tally (No. 47, Feb. 1) and bullets at its No. 5 best on Adult Alternative Airplay. Upon its entrance to the Adult Alternative Airplay top 10 in early March, it became Dacus’ first airplay top 10 as a soloist. Boygenius banked two in 2023: “Not Strong Enough” (No. 1 for seven weeks) and “Cool About It” (No. 2).
