Loathe return with 6-minute single, “Gifted Every Strength”

We’ve been waiting a long time for Loathe‘s proper followup to 2020’s I Let It in and It Took Everything, and now they’ve finally released a new single, which hopefully means album info is on the horizon. New single “Gifted Every Strength” is a six-minute-long mini epic that covers a lot of ground, and it really feels like a bold, loud announcement that this band is ready for an exciting new era. The Deftones influence that was all over I Let It in and It Took Everything is still there, but Loathe are increasingly becoming their own beast as they trek through this journey of metal, shoegaze, industrial, and prog without ever biting off more than they can chew. Loathe are currently on tour with Spiritbox and Dying Wish, and shortly before the NYC stop at Hammerstein Ballroom, Loathe stopped by Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall for a smaller, last-minute show that included a performance of “Gifted Every Strength” and other new songs.
