IHG Japan Three Expo 2025 Offers: May 1 – June 30, July 1 – August 31 & September 1 – October 13, 2025

IHG is one of the sponsors of the UK pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, which just opened a week ago and closes on October 13.

There will be three IHG One Rewards offers for stays in Japan during the expo period. The first one is set to go live on May 1 and offers up to 50,000 bonus points.

Here are the three offers:

Japan Hotels Top Stayers Challenge

• Top 10 members with the highest number of room nights at hotels in Japan between May 1 and June 30 with 50,000 bonus points each.

Stay every 5 nights at IHG Japan Kansai Hotels, receive 5 nights additional bonus elite night credits up to 15 nights

• Every 5 nights stay at IHG hotels in Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe with 5 bonus elite night credits up to 15 nights between July 1 and August 31.

Stay every 2 nights at IHG Japan Kansai Hotels, receive 1000 bonus points up to 5000 points

• Every 2 nights stay at IHG hotels in Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe receive 1000 bonus points up to 5000 points between September 1 and October 13.

Conclusion

The second offer is the best of these three, as the first one is for business travelers who stay extensively at IHG-affiliated hotels in Japan, and the third one is only for up to 5,000 bonus points (500 bonus points per night.

The bonus elite qualifying nights are pretty good, especially if it helps you to reach Diamond status and Milestone Rewards.

Japan Top Stayers Challenge Terms & Condition

To participate in the “Japan Top Stayers Challenge” Promotion (the “Promotion”), an individual must have a valid IHG One Rewards member account and must be invited to register for the Promotion beginning 1 May 2025 and ending on 30 June 2025 (the

“Promotion Period”). A member can only register once. By registering for the Promotion, a member is accepting these Terms & Conditions.

After registering for the Promotion, the top 10 members with the greatest number of qualifying room nights stay in Japan hotels during the Promotion Period can earn 50,000 Bonus Points.

The points earned during the Promotion can be used toward Reward Nights, can be redeemed for merchandise, or can be used for other redemption opportunities, as permitted under the IHG One Rewards program. The time needed for awarding points can vary with each promotion, so please allow up to 8 weeks for any earned bonus points to be posted to the recipient’s account.

To be a qualifying room night under the Promotion, the room night must fall within the Promotion Period and must be part of a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay. As stated, the “Promotion Period” is from 1 May 2025 and ending on 30 June 2025. Room nights outside of the Promotion Period are not included. For purposes of this Promotion, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate via ihg.com or the IHG One Rewards app, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion.
