Gunn’s “Superman” Gets A New Featurette

Just in time for Superman Day, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios have released a new featurette about the upcoming James Gunn-directed “Superman” film due out in cinemas in July.

The clip goes into how Gunn wants to portray Superman as a character who’s noble and beautiful in his way. In addition, there’s plenty of footage looking at the sets, costumes, make-up and filming in action.

The clip follows on from a teaser trailer a few months ago and an extended sneak peek clip earlier this month. A full trailer is expected sometime in the next few weeks.

The new film will follow Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.

The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/The Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

Filming on the movie wrapped in July last year and is on track to hit cinemas on July 11th.
