Yostar is revealed Sakura Matou and Saber as guest characters from Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel who will appear in Mahjong Soul. Players of the game will be able to recruit them via a crossover event that launches for a limited time from April 23, 2025, then use them as playable characters in the game. The company had previously teased the crossover event in early February 2025. However, it only recently started publishing details about the event after it confirmed April 23, 2025, as the launch date. Yostar is also publishing new trailers featuring the guest characters on the game's official social media accounts. The gameplay segments notably show how the company produces accurate 3D models of the guests' hands.
