Ever Rich Duty Free champions Taiwanese culture with latest shops and lounge openings

Ever Rich Duty Free has opened a series of themed lounges and speciality shops that champion local heritage at Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2. The new lounges highlight sense of place with elements of Taiwanese culture, cinema and island heritage.  

The C4 Metaverse Waiting Lounge targets toy enthusiasts, featuring works by Taiwanese designers. The lounge is integrated with a toy store for an immersive retail experience.  

The New Concept Bookstore goes beyond books, showcasing collectibles such as Labubu, Jellycat and blind boxes – popular among young travellers and pop culture buffs. 

The C5 Secret Realm of Chinese Medicine Lounge highlights traditional herbal culture and includes an AI consultation service for wellness recommendations. The space uses scents and visuals to create a relaxing pre-flight experience.  

Other lounges focus on Taiwan’s culinary heritage and herbal remedies, while speciality shops offer local souvenirs. 

Feng Li Shop, designed with a retro Dadaocheng-inspired aesthetic, features red brick walls and wooden window frames. It offers historic pastry brands, tea and specialty gifts. 

The C8 Taiwan Film-weaver Lounge, created in partnership with the National Film and Audiovisual Center, the Golden Horse Awards and other institutions, includes a Golden Horse Screening Room.  

Travellers can watch award-winning short films and take photographs with movie props, offering a closer look at storytelling in Taiwanese cinema.
