A convicted killer has been given jail time after repeatedly turning up at Cheryl‘s home.

The 50-year-old man admitted to turning up at the singer’s house in Buckinghamshire last December despite her having a restraining order against him.

As well as being charged with manslaughter in 2012, the man was jailed for four months in 2023 for an offence that took place in July. He has been reported as “displaying fixated, obsessive, unwanted and repetitive behaviour” towards the Girls Aloud star.

The alleged incidents involving Cheryl reportedly date back to 2023 when she made her debut in the West End show 2:22 A Ghost Story. At the time he allegedly sent disturbing messages and flowers to her.

Around that time, he was given a three-year restraining order, which prevented him from contacting her, going to her address or entering Buckinghamshire. At the end of last year he was charged with breaching the terms of the restraining order. This came as, on December 10, the man entered Buckinghamshire and went to her address.

The court has heard that in January 2024 he had approached the property and said over the intercom that he had “come to get Cheryl”. Then in July of that year, he called the home and said: “I’m really thirsty, I just want a glass of wine please”.

On Monday (March 10), he was sentenced for two counts of harassment and one count of attempting to breach a restraining order.

The latest ruling was decided at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court, and saw him jailed for 16 weeks. According to The Independent, District Judge Arvind Sharma said that the man was aware that what he was doing was leaving Cheryl feeling “very distressed and upset”.

The outlet also states that, the singer told police that seeing the man outside her home left her “immediately panicked” and concerned that he was “looking for a way into the property”.

The December incident came following the former Girls Aloud singer and television personality dealing with the death of her ex Liam Payne. The two were in a relationship between 2016 and 2018 and share a seven-year-old boy named Bear.

The former One Direction member and soloist died on October 16, following a fatal fall from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
