“The Bear” actress Liza Colón-Zayas has joined the cast of Sony & Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in a role that’s unknown at this time. The Bookie & the Bruiser
“The White Lotus” and “The Gentlemen” star Theo James will replace Oscar winner Adrien Brody in “Bone Tomahawk” and “Brawl in Cell Block 99” filmmaker S. Craig Zahler’s new film “The Bookie & the Bruiser”.

Set in 1959 New York City, James plays a pensive Jewish bookmaker named Rivner (James) and his oversized Italian American enforcer Boscolo (Vaughn), both having returned from WW2 changed men. The pair set out to run an illicit gambling operation that proves highly profitable – but dangerous. So begins a violent fight for survival amid mob wars between the Italian mafia and an Irish gang. The Wanted Man
Hugh Laurie, Fionn Whitehead, Thandiwe Newton, Gina McKee, Elliott Heffernan, Stephen Dillane, and Hazel Doupe have been announced as the cast of the new Apple TV+ eight episode thriller series “The Wanted Man”.

Jakob Verbruggen helms the project in which Laurie plays Felix Carmichael, leader of a British crime network known as The Capital. Untouchable for 20 years, Carmichael is finally apprehended and imprisoned. As the traitor who betrayed him moves to dismantle the empire he has built, Carmichael must risk everything in a daring escape. [Source: Apple]

Oscar winner Natalie Portman has signed on for the lead role in the Tom Hooper-directed historical feature “Photograph 51”. Portman will play Rosalind Franklin, the British scientist who is responsible for uncovering the hidden structure of DNA but didn’t receive any proper recognition for her valuable contributions. Burning Rainbow Farm
Sebastian Stan (“Thunderbolts”) and Leo Woodall (“Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy”) will star in Australian filmmaker Justin Kurzel’s new true story tale “Burning Rainbow Farm”. Tommy Murphy (“Holding The Man”) wrote the screenplay based on the book by Dean Kuipers.

The pair play a gay couple in rural Michigan who build a peaceful, pot-friendly utopia called Rainbow Farm in 2001. When the two run afoul of local authorities and their young son is taken from them, a standoff ensues – leading to one of the most dramatic sieges involving police and the FBI America has ever seen.
